I didn’t wait for the perfect time to write another book.
I wrote my second children’s book holding my phone under the blankets while laying next to my youngest daughter, Poet, waiting for her to fall asleep every night. I wrote this book while walking my senior dog, Romo, around the block in the dark, under a midnight moon, so he wouldn’t poop in our bed. I wrote this book on my phone in the school-pick up line, windows cracked, while Poet napped in the back seat.
I wrote this book in every other thought, in between every mess, activity, and “Mommmm!”
I wrote this book in the margins of motherhood.
What if Intuition Has Wings?
A children’s book.
An inner knowing.
Courage to listen.
AVAILABLE IN DECEMBER 2026

THE BRILLIANT IDEA
Intuition slowly became my default advice and compass in motherhood.
In a season of life where there’s recommendations, tutorials, and professionals around every corner, I found myself most confident when I circled back to myself.
And if there’s anything I’ve learned in my 10 years as a Mama, it’s that we are each our own thing.
We are becoming our own thing, no two of us the same.
What worked for that Mama, doesn’t have to work for me. What worked for that child, doesn’t have to work for mine. What worked for that family, doesn’t have to be ours.
And the more I embraced this … the more I wanted my daughters to own it too.
My second children’s book, What if Intuition Has Wings?, bloomed from a series of moments with my second daughter, River. I am lucky enough to witness the brilliance beneath her shy, every single day. But the world doesn’t always get to see it, and the world isn’t as patient or inviting as her Mama. And I want her to know,
I want all of our children to know,
that they can recognize their brilliance, trust it, and step into it, regardless if anybody else notices it or not.
Regardless if it looks different than what they see around them.
Because they are becoming their own thing.
And to become your own thing, well that is entirely the point.

WHAT IF INTUITION HAS WINGS?
With each children’s book I write, I ask myself: what is the most important thing I want my girls to know? Because if the message is important to me, I trust it’s important to other Mamas too.
I knew, wholeheartedly, that I wanted my girls to trust their gut.
A companion sequel to What if You Dare The Dandelions to Sing?,
What if Intuition Has Wings? is a story about a curious child who discovers that knowing is not something she has to find. It has been with her all along – in the quiet feelingsthat only she can understand. With the help of a wise owl, a wandering compass, and a few unexpected feathers, she begins to trust the little nudges that belong to her. And each time she does, something extraordinary happens.
BIG IDEAS BELONG IN LITTLE HANDS
I actually went back and forth on using the word, INTUITION, in the title because it’s not a word most children are familiar with. They might recognize GUT or KNOWING, which are still big ideas, but intuition just felt like a big word. I ultimately decided to use it because I knew the Mamas would recognize it,
and if they’re like me, that’s a book I’m grabbing off the shelf!
I also know, as an author and Mama, that children are more capable than we give them credit for.
They will reach the bars we set and fall under the limits we project.
I knew intuition was a concept I could explain to them, and that they might even know or take away more than the adults. In fact, young children seem to be the closest to their intuition. As we grow, we are influenced by so much noise, that it takes some coming back to ourselves to hear it again.
I love to write my children’s books poetically and lyrically because … have you ever read a poem, and even if you couldn’t say exactly what it was about — you could feel it? Our children can understand profound concepts and feelings, even if they can’t explicitly explain how they understand it.
As challenging as it was to word this story at their level and understanding, I had so much fun doing it.
I found myself getting really concrete and descriptive in the ways our bodies communicate to us,
and it sounds a bit like this:
HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED THAT YOUR BODY SPEAKS TO YOU?
Like when you find your friend in a crowd of people … it feels like a warm hug.
Like when you want to jump off the highest rock … but a warning bell rings between your ears.
Like when you know you have a smart idea … your heart sort of does a somersault.
What if your body knows the answers before you do?
What if there is an entire brilliance within you, and the more you listen, the more you know?
GIVE THEM WINGS
There’s so much more I want to share about this upcoming release, and I will keep sharing on my Instagram!
But for now, I’m calling all the Mamas. Consider this your whimsical invitation to step into your intuition and empower our children with the language and understanding to do the same.
Intuition is something we all carry.
I dare you to listen.
