Million Dollar Baby Abigail Classic Crib

Premium Plus Interior Flat “Glazed Pot”
Behr Paint and Primer at Home Depot
The sun on the wall was actually my starting point for this room. I ventured into Home Depot, and I found this rust color that I knew was the tone and earthy energy I was looking for. And I got this wild idea to let the girls help me paint!
Like I said, this was my first of the projects for the baby, so it was pretty fresh after telling the girls the big news. If you saw our announcement video, Alba didn’t take the news well, so I was on a mission to make sure the girls felt included in all things baby.
Next up, I knew I wanted a brass crib! I was trying to create a space that was grounding and warm, so I envisioned golden accents.
COUCH
This green couch from Home Goods was my next purchase. A single chair would have fit better in the space, but I pictured the girls wanting to sit with me while I nurse Poet, so I went with a couch. I wanted to make sure her room was somewhere we could hang out and not just a place for me to escape with the baby.
BOOKSHELF
Baby Rocker LEVO & Organic White Cushion
$299 on Charlie Crane
Sarah Hazel Rug
$219 at Ruggable
This bookshelf was an original built-in, and our house was actually built in the 1940’s. We even have a basement!
I love keeping these historic touches throughout our house.
When I was pregnant with Alba, we had two baby showers, and we requested books instead of cards. This was the best and sweetest idea because not only did we begin to build a library for our girls, but a lot of the books have sentimental notes in them from friends and family. Since then, the girls have been gifted some Amazon book subscriptions (these are amazing) and collected more on their own.
DRESSER
Charlie 6 Drawer Double Dresser in White
$299 on Wayfair
Liberty Acrylic Bar Champagne Bronze and Clear Cabinet Drawer Pull
3-3/4 in. and $7.93 at Home Depot
L.M. Montgomery Wall Tarp
$80 on Sugarboo & Co.
A lot of the rattan items I collected at Home Goods.
And I came across Sugarboo on Instagram one day; their wall tarps caught my eye!
When I found this one, with her name, I had to get it.
Here’s what it says:
“The world calls them its
singers and poets and artists
and storytellers, but they are
just people who have never
forgotten the way to fairyland.”
-L.M. Montgomery
By the way, I hung it with command strips. I hang everything with command strips.
I took forever trying to decide on a dresser! I knew I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, I wanted it to be big enough to be a changing station, and I wanted it to fit the style of the rest of the room.
The assembly was awful. In hindsight, I would pay to have the professional assembly. And sure, I could’ve waited for my husband, but I don’t have that kind of patience. I ventured into Home Depot again and found the acrylic handles for the drawers,
and they really MADE the dresser.
Finally, I got the rug from Ruggable, which is my first purchase from them.
It’s interesting…it’s this thin rug cover that goes over a pad, since the rug itself is washable.
I love the color, the design, and the fact that I can wash it, but I don’t love the texture or feel.
And these photos make it look blush, but it’s actually a very tan and hazel colored rug.
CHANGING STATION
Keekaroo Peanut Changer
$139 on Amazon
My sister is letting me use hers, and I’m going to lay it on top of the dresser.
Camel Solly Wrap
$69 at Solly Baby
I used one of the top drawers of the dresser for all of her swaddles, blankets, and wraps.
Millie Moon Diapers
$24.99 at Target for 108 diapers
When it came to diapers with my first two daughters, I was a Pampers Mama. I bought some Pampers again, but I wanted to try out this Millie Moon brand. They are dermatest approved, sustainably sourced, cruelty free and vegan, and Oeko-Tex certified.
And I will say, the softness and quality is noticeable!
Muslin Burp Cloths
$18.95 on Amazon for 10

For me, the nursery has been a focus of all my nesting energy. Nurseries can be such a fun project, but they’re also not necessary.
I know many Mamas who co-sleep, don’t use changing stations, don’t nurse in a chair, and just don’t have much use for a nursery.
But here I am, breaking my back assembling this dresser, because it’s making me feel productive and prepared.
Also…look at this room when it was a playroom and a bunny den. We’ve come a long way!
